Non-Medical In-Home Care for Seniors
Personal Care Services We Offer for the Elderly
Companionship offers friendly conversation and social
interaction with the client. We focus on the physical
and mental well being of our client. We offer an array
of crafts and other areas of interest to stimulate
activity whether it be a simple conversation, playing a
game, or taking a walk outside together.
We will make sure that the client’s home is in clean
condition. We dust furniture, sweep and vacuum floors.
Kitchen counters and appliances will be wiped down, and
dishes will be washed or we will load and run
dishwasher. We change bed linens, and do laundry.
Laundry will consist of washing, drying, folding and
helping the client put clothes away. Garbage will also
be taken out.
We will assist the client with the planning of
nutritious meals and will cook and serve the meal.
Transportation / Escort
to Doctor’s Appointments
We will be the client’s transportation to and from
their doctor’s Appointment. We will escort the client in
and wait in the waiting room until the client is ready
to leave.
We will drive and escort the client grocery shopping
or clothes shopping, or we will do the shopping for
them.
A log with detailed information will be kept in each
of our client’s homes, at the request of a family
member, to monitor their activities. We will monitor
information such as anyone that has called, or came to
the door during our visit, what the client had to eat,
and any concerns or unusual behavior.
We will help our clients with bathing by adjusting
water temperature, helping them to get into and out of
the tub/shower for stability, and hand them personal
care items. If needed we will assist our clients with
the washing and styling of their hair, and hard to reach
areas. We also will assist with getting dressed.
Our Sleep Over Service is available in 12 hour
shifts. We will provide a caregiver to spend the night
at the client’s home. We offer two options for this
service. The first option would be for the caregiver to
spend the night and be permitted to sleep, but still be
close enough to hear the client call out or ring for the
caregiver’s assistance with getting to the bathroom,
getting something to drink, or repositioning for
comfort. The second option is for the caregiver to spend
the night, but be required to stay awake during the
whole 12 hour shift.
Should the client require medication during a shift,
the caregiver can assist with opening pill bottles or
containers and remind the client that it is time to take
their medication.
