Guardian Angel Home Care Services, Inc., a State Licensed Agency located in the heart of Shaler Township in the North Hills of Allegheny County, has been providing affordable, high quality, in-home care since 2001. Owned and operated by a hometown Pittsburgh family, we offer warm, compassionate, personalized care. We treat our clients with the love and respect they deserve, as if they were our own family.

Through extraordinary care management, and home organization, our Company has made it possible for mature adults, stroke victims, Alzheimer patients, post operative individuals, and many others to remain living safely in the comfort of their homes.

Guardian Angel Home Care Services, Inc. is a contracted provider in Allegheny County and the Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA) Waiver Program.

Unlike, some of the larger franchised agencies being ran by some corporate headquarters in some far away state and town, and whose franchise ownership may have turned hands multiple times (meaning new owners), we are the original founders and our offices are located right here in your hometown.

At Guardian Angel Home Care Services, Inc. we make it a policy to include the consumer or consumer’s representative throughout the care planning process.

Consumer control is exercised by allowing the consumer/consumer’s representative to assist in identifying specific areas of need. Including the consumer in decision making regarding their own care helps to preserve dignity and independence.

Our Caregivers

Our services are of a non-medical nature; therefore, our caregivers are not required to be registered nurses. This allows us to offer affordable in-home care at a fraction of the cost of a registered nurse.

Our caregivers are totally committed, highly qualified, and carefully selected individuals who are personally and thoroughly screened. Criminal background checks, prior work experience, and a minimum of three personal reference checks are all a part of our hiring process.

All Caregivers are trained according to Pennsylvania Department of Aging guidelines and our Agency’s own 60 hour training program which includes CPR and First Aid Certification. Additionally, all caregivers have completed a pre-employment physical, TB Test, and cleared of communicable diseases prior to their start date.

Most importantly, our caregivers are dependable individuals who are extremely compassionate and caring of others.

Caregivers of Guardian Angel Home Care Services, Inc. are employees of our Company and not subcontractors. They are all tax payers and are covered under our Company’s insurance and bonding.
